Passion fruit, beautiful little tropical fruit so sweet and acidic at the same time! It’s great to make it discover to our baby as soon as he is old enough (from 12 months), we cannot miss the introduction of this fruit!
The passion fruit is very rich in antioxidants and vitamins A and C, perfect for babies!
Apple, kiwi and passion fruit baby puree recipe (from 12 months)
We can normally eat it with the seeds, but of course with baby we will avoid this. We will need a very little passion fruit (half of the fruit) because it is quite strong in taste with its acidulous side, so we will go smoothly.
For this recipe we will marry it with apple and kiwi, two fruits with which passion fruit is perfect!
Here is what you need to make this baby recipe: Apple, kiwi and passion fruit baby puree recipe (from 12 months, for 10.5oz)

- - 1 passion fruit
- - 2 apples
- - 1 kiwi
- - 1 small strainer
- - 1 steamer
- - 1 blender
We will start our baby recipe with our apples.
Apples are washed, peeled and cut into slices. I got 11oz of apple once peeled.
We put our slices in our steam basket and cooking will start. For these quantities you can count about 12 minutes.
Meanwhile, let’s take care of our kiwi.
To peel it nothing more simple: it is cut in two, and we extract the flesh with a small spoon.
We put our kiwi flesh aside.
Finally, we will take care of the passion fruit.
We place half of the passion fruit flesh in our strainer to extract about 0.5 fl oz of juice. If you want to try giving a puree a little more powerful, then you will need about 0.6 to 0.7 fl oz of juice! Do not forget that baby discovers new flavors, so we go smoothly…
Once our apples are cooked, we put them in our blender with the kiwi flesh and the passion fruit juice. We mix finely!
Our Apple, kiwi and passion fruit baby puree recipe (from 12 months) is now over! We just have to refrigerate the puree for about 2 hours before giving it to our babies 🙂
