For tonight I have prepared a sweet baby puree… sweet potato and zucchini for my baby. I have added Laughing Cow for smoothness, but it is optional, the puree is excellent with vegetables only!
Sweet potato, zucchini and laughing cow cheese baby puree recipe (from 6 months)
Sweet potato is a starch that baby loves. It is perfect for the evening meal because it holds baby perfectly so that he can spend a looooooong night without waking up (or waking up Mom and Dad of course …;)).
The zucchini contains fibers and baby digests it very well. It has a very sweet taste and goes well with sweet potato. Be sure to put more zucchini than sweet potato, sweet potato is a starch.
The Laughing Cow is the little extra in this puree. You can cook the puree without it, because you will see that the puree is excellent without! I add it for the smooth and “dairy” side. I like to put some from time to time…
Here’s what you need to make this sweet potato, zucchini and laughing cow cheese baby puree recipe (from 6 months) :
- [adinserter block="11"]
- - 7 oz sweet potato (peeled weight, a small sweet potato)
- - 14 oz zucchini (peeled weight, 3 small zucchinis)
- - 2 portions of Laughing Cow cheese
- - 1 tbsp of olive oil
- - water for steam cooking
- - 1 blender
We start with our sweet potato. We wash and peel it until we see its beautiful orange flesh. It is then cut into slices.
Now our zucchini. It is washed, peeled and then cut into slices : it will cook at the same time as our sweet potato and cooking is faster, so slices are a little thicker.
We put our vegetable slices in our steam basket: we first place our slices of sweet potato and over our slices of zucchini.
Count 18 minutes of steaming. Go!
When the vegetables are cooked, we put them in our blender. You will see that with the zucchini, we won’t need to add cooking water, unless you want to prepare a baby soup! We then add our olive oil and our portions of laughing cow. We mix!
Our sweet potato, zucchini and laughing cow cheese baby puree recipe (from 6 months) is now over and baby will enjoy it!
Bon appetit baby!
