Today we are going to prepare a zucchini and potato puree for babies. The taste of this puree is not very pronounced and therefore it is an easy-to-eat baby puree. Whether it is one of his first purees or a puree for dinner time, baby will eat it very easily.
Zucchini and potato puree recipe for babies (from 4 months)
The potato will be used to reduce the new strong flavors for our babies and also to bind this puree for it to be smooth.
Zucchini is normally one of the first foods given to babies, this vegetable is ideal for starting food diversification. It is rich in Vitamins A, B and C and also in minerals (Potassium, Phosphorus, Calcium and Iron). It is therefore recommended in your baby’s diet!
What we will need to prepare this zucchini and potato puree recipe for babies (from 4 months, 2 servings):

- - 4 cups zucchini (200g)
- - 3/8 cups potatoes (3 oz / 80g)
- - water
- - 1 tbsp olive oil
Start by washing vegetables.
Peel the zucchini and slice it, they will cook faster and blending will also be easier.
For the potatoes, I chose the “darling” variety which is ideal for preparing baby purees but please, take the potatoes you have if you don’t have those.
Pell potatoes and cut them into thin slices, and put them in the steam basket with the zucchini slices.
Steam the vegetable slices for about 10 minutes. Once steaming is finished, put cooked vegetables in your blender (avoid them being too hot, wait a little bit …). No need to add the water we used for cooking because the zucchini should be engorged! Add a tablespoon of olive oil and blend!
